Pusha PRight but as someone who hears gunshots somewhat often, it's easy to sort of ignore it. But if I heard that same sound and then a crack near me, I'd be like holy s*** I'm either the target or in the direction of the target.
Maybe it's not a crack, but it's like a snapping sound of the bullet hitting near you
Under fire at close range the crack and boom happen at the same time, but it is much more pronounced when the bullets are in your direction.
