I dont really understand thing surrounding DC so let me not put my foot in my mouth but all that would happen to DC is they’d have to pay federal taxes for federal subsidies when they already receive national security stimuluses (like right now) and natural disaster relief.

They get way more benefit being a territory than a state, they just get no say in the federal government.
