Manchin is from WV, he's a democrat in name only. i will give him credit though; regardless of my agreements or disagreements with him, he is representative of his actual constituents in the state. he's certainly representative of how people in WV, which I can't say for every other senator who kind of just does their own thing after getting elected.

i def get that, but the effect is kinda the same either way. its one of the few examples of actual representation; like that's supposed to be the point of elected officials, to have to represent constituents or else lose their job. so ironically things actually kind of work out there? again not necessarily saying I agree with Manchin nor his voters on things, but it's certainly an interesting case study.
