This is what the CIA trained death squads were doing in Afghanistan:
"Bilal and the others squeezed together as far from the door as they could, with their backs to a large window facing a central courtyard. Many were in tears; others couldn’t speak. From the hallway, Bilal heard words he recognized as English.
“They’re not going to let us live,” a student murmured.
In preparation for death, some of the boys recited the Muslim declaration of faith, known as the Shahada: “There is no God but Allah, and Muhammad is his messenger.”
Just then, the sound of automatic gunfire tore along the corridor. “For a very short time,” Bilal said, it sounded like “there were many guns.” Boys’ screams came next, followed by two loud explosions. “One shook the whole building,” said Bilal. “We didn’t hear anything after this. Everyone was silent.”
When the sun rose hours later, Bilal and about a dozen other students remained crouching in silence, some still trembling with fear. Nearby, in two of the school’s other rooms and in the basement, 12 more boys, their bodies mauled by bullets, lay crumpled on the floor.""Residents from four districts in Wardak — Nerkh, Chak, Sayedabad, and Daymirdad — spoke of a string of massacres, executions, mutilation, forced disappearances, attacks on medical facilities, and airstrikes targeting structures known to house civilians. The victims, according to these residents, were rarely Taliban. Yet the Afghan unit and its American masters have never been publicly held accountable by either the Afghan or U.S. governments."

I feel like people often seem to forget or just ignore how brutal the US occupation of Afghanistan was. Now we can see that it was all for nothing, the fact that US leaders knew this as well and fabricated metrics to make it seem like it wasn't makes it so much worse. No idea how anybody in their right mind would want this war to continue.
I mean that’s what all heads of state say. No ramificating actions taken by massive geopolitical actors is about “what’s right”, it’s always about strategy and getting further to become global hegemony for their own power.
China/Russia/USA all do this.
All countries say that what they're doing is right, but the mindset of American exceptionalism that Obama showed in that video is definitely not a thing in all countries.
For anyone that doesn't understand how nations end wars, the current reports about the struggle to evacuate Americans is why Biden deserves blame and why people are upset about the situation.
No1 is mad about the troop withdrawal besides neocons and liberal internationalists. Everyone is mad about the failure to swiftly end this s***.
Bernie has always been on the right side of history
He literally voted to invade Afghanistan
He literally voted to invade Afghanistan
What was the article talking about then?
Edit: no wonder he isn't talking much about all this. He's trynna save face lol

Exactly lol. Idk why ppl don’t understand that Afg had way too many precious mineral/earth resources for any greedy ass 1st world gov to leave that land alone, left or right. People like to assume Afg had no gov, etc. But the truth is foreign destabilization played a huge role since the 1900s.

Is Turkey actually still occupying Afghanistan? Erdogan has been talking about meeting with Taliban leaders, but are Turkish troops actually still on the ground there? Whatever happened to the Taliban's threat against Turkey? It seems like they're serious about securing the Kabul airport, they reiterated plans to do it again apparently.

What makes you believe that the majority of afghan people are with Taliban?
I personally don't agree with people who believe mixing religion and politics is good. I think they are nutters. The concept of the guardianship of the Islamic Jurist is flawed. It does not benefit anyone but pretenders.
