Oh, I see, that's a good question. I honestly don't know about others, I just know Americans didn't act on it. The Taliban themselves clearly didn't act on it either clearly since they had losses sustained through the bombings as well, but who knows if they knew. There's a good chance that other NATO allies did indeed act on it and not the US, but then again I don't know how many non-american or afghan allies are still there comparatively.

The airport got closed off cause of this danger right?
I know The Netherlands stopped evacuating today, while not finished (there are still Dutch-Afghan people there).

This is a direct quote from the Dutch Minister of Foreign Affairs:
“The gates are closed. There are major security risks at the airport,” says Kaag. “There is a threat of a terrorist attack. The United States has urged us to complete our operation and leave in full today.”

This just raises more questions imo. The bombing happened specifically at a gate while americans were onboarding people at military checkpoints; the first suicide bombing happened during a patdown basically at gates. This means the US not only knew about the security situation, but actively encouraged other nations to cease activity, while they themselves did not. The US did not close off the gates or airport hence how the suicide bombings happened to begin with.

2 weeks of evacuation? Just get it done already god damn.

How do you f*** up pulling out of a country so damn hard?

This is how you know the US had no idea the local government would collapse and Taliban would take over this damn fast.

Yeah, that's kinda weird. Why stress NATO allies to cease activity, cause of the threat of a terrorist attack but go on yourself, despite knowing of that threat

    Does the taliban have allies?

Yes and no, on paper they have few if any but they have allies in terms of alleged financing or support. "Likely" supporters include Pakistan, but it's all alleged. People thought Iran supported the new Afghan Taliban because of the Taliban condemning of the Soleimani killing but then Iran closed their Kabul embassy and evacuated themselves as a result of the Kabul capture. Technically Qatar is an ally of the Taliban, maybe the only state actor to openly encourage political support beyond covert measures.

20 years and billions of dollars and thousands of lives killed to fight the "War on Terror" in Afghanistan, but as soon as you leave, it seems everything is the same or even worst than it was before.

Who will be held accountable for this? This cannot be passed off as "well, s*** just happens"

I'm not seeing anyone who deserves to be held accountable, being held accountable rn.

Its either "Its Bidens fault" or "Its Trump's fault". Where did all the money spent on this go? What did NATO do in Afghanistan for 20 years?
