Sideline Story definitely was forced from the label not really what Cole wanted as his debut. Born Sinner was like his redemption and his first time frfr crafting an album without having to force records. I feel like 2014FHD was maybe always an album Cole had in mind since right off the jump. 4YEO he felt was necessary to make at the time and a message and concept he wanted to get across and same goes for KOD. He definitely feel comfortable and confident enough where with he was at at the point of his career he could release real conceptual heavy substance based albums. Now I think that he’s gotten those off his belt he’s gonna come with the heavy hitters and show us why he’s one of the greatest of our generation.
