Something happened recently, but i just can't stand James Blake's voice anymore f***.

I still like the songs I really like by him but idk something shifted I'm really sad about it

James Blake is everything i need when i am in a depressed mood. The Colour In Anything is my favorite project from him. Even though my fandom started late with Assume Form going back to TCIA truly shows my mental state towards love and the need of it. Assume Form was more the dream of what i want and i loved for it but TCIA is the reality i live. The potential forever loner who never understands himself or what love means to him. In the process he is just in his mind consumed by everything.

Idk James Blake electronic stuff is also fire if you just want to jam. The Before EP was great to rekindle that.

James has a special place to me. He is like a Rnb Electronic version of Bobby Caldwell. All Black people f*** with him. I do too.

Music taste matures and things you liked in the past don't sound the same anymore. Also experiencing thinks with a certain kind of music could be tied to a certain type of experience you want to forget. Many different things at the same could change your view of the music.
I used to disregard RnB before and now i mostly listen RnB/Soul from 70 to early 2000s to now in Korean, Japanese, English etc.

I'm really sour on a lot of the stuff he's put out since TCIA precisely because he sounds more concerned with going in a pop-oriented direction than following in the footsteps of the greats like you mentioned. if we got evolved versions of songs like this on the next album I'd be so happy
