i feel if he stays with dreamville he'll be in that big krit realm a guy whos lyrical, can make radio friendly tracks but never gets the recognition or somewhat radio spins.

actually westside boogie is a better comparison to jid both on big labels, have the creative freedom to make whatever record but will never expand to a bigger audience nor have the money/backing put into them to become rap superstars.

I feel like Cole does as much as he can for his artists. Much more than any other rapper owned label does. Cole just signs artists that don’t really have superstar potential

As much as I love JID he ain’t really make any hits or classic albums yet. I think him not being bigger is on him and not the fault of the label

when i think about it warner bros might be a great fit for jid they did an amazing job for mac miller who was independent but seemed like he was mainstream i heard his records on the radio numerous times.

i remember goin into newbury comics (not sure ppl know that store in the malls) and seeing mac millers good am posters and boards all over that store i copped that album immediately (i still have that record to this day lol) JID needs that same treatment.

no sir theyre underground they was able to bring certain big artists into their world such is very unique in these days. they dont get played on the radio but their name rings bells here on the east coast.
