Thinking about it. Veteran is my least favorite from him now... This Album put me on and even went to his show but now he only got better and tapped into more of his old weirder stuff. Veteran now feels too polished to me like he tried to make it presentable. Compare it to LP1 and you can feel how much he can actually do. Though his Devon Hendryx stuff bruh this is some crazy as s*** man going back to it. Veteran is really him trying to tone it down.
Still a great project with great singles.

That's actually really interesting. I actually feel similarly about LP! as much as I love it. I feel like he toned down how wild the song structures were on AMHAC and Vet, and just feels so much more reserved compared to his previous stuff. It's weird cuz at this point it's by 2nd most played by him but it just doesn't have the same mind-blowing quality of AMHAC/Vet.

Stuff like Thug Tears, Whole Foods, 1488, Curb Stomp are to this day some of the craziest beats I've ever heard. So f***in unpredictable and insanely layered. It feels like the first album he truly mastered his sound (and I looooove his old stuff). Tho I will say he did tone down the subject matter for sure, he had way more to say on BBC and CSJ

Also are you including pre-ghost pop projects in that statement cuz we might have to fight atp
