Exmilitary is the best song. The way he blended all those samples and there's never really a beat change needs to be studied

This might be his best project

It just keeps growing on me, it's kinda crazy how it's a little more stripped back than his other work yet equally engaging and interesting production wise

  • Aug 3, 2024

Okay first full listen I think this is the best JPEG album ever. Very cohesive. Definitely the most introspective work from Peggy. His production style has matured a lot, it's less chaotic but it still keeps you hooked and easily has some of his best produced songs on here. His vocal performances were on point. Showed a lot of range both as a producer and a rapper. Overall amazing body of work. I think JPEG is the most talented and skilled producer and artist in hip-hop right now.

    Contender for AOTY.

I can't believe it took SCARING THE HOES to finally make me like JPEGMAFIA's music lmao

I really wish he'd try more flows and stop rapping about internet haters on every song but he is who he is at this point

Cool range of sounds on the new one. Not everything works but it's cool. JPEGUltra is the best one

Agreed on the lyrics. Dudes talented af behind the boards but every song has something to roll my eyes at lyrically

Exmilitary in particular has some really cringy moments in it. That's one song that actually seems to take itself seriously and it just comes off badly to me idk

I do appreciate him rapping about relationships and his own issues towards the end of the album but he's still rapping about internet trolls way too often for my taste

like every JPEG record, it def insists upon itself, and I hate how referential he always is, with a million name drops that could sound dated as soon as next year. Again, though, the produtcion will always pique my interest.

I think Scaring the Hoes is still my fav of his just because Danny's cartoonish presence helps offset the anger and seriousness of Peggy.

Was just coming ITT to post something similar

I thought it was pretty good 1st listen but I keep finding new parts I love. Production is so next level, and while his bars aren't always the most standout, the energy/flow always add to the track
