I think there's two different ways to approach talking about something like this
1 would be sharing why you feel personally attached to the thing and sharing how much you appreciate the thing because of it
2, the insecure weird one, is deciding why people do not enjoy the thing for them to make yourself feel better about it
I think both achieve the same thing kinda but one feels gross and weird
I’ve tried to do the first one

It’s different for you because you’re detached in general. Emotionally distant. Like when we had the conversation on here about grieving over artist we loved who passed and you said you couldn’t relate. Music is a huge part of my life and I tend to get passionate about it. Sometimes it doesn’t feel like playful banter, and it makes me uncomfortable. We differ in that sense. I try to keep it as light as possible in here though because y’all don’t take me or anything I say seriously. Which is fine.
My original reply to this was going to be mean
So I will instead say I am sorry for upsetting you but do not plan on changing the way I discuss my music opinions

I don’t really care about how people feel about the album. I know it’s not alot of peoples cup of tea and that’s understandable. I moreso have an issue with feeling like they deliberately try to push my buttons vs. stating an opinion. This thread doesn’t revolve around me solely, but they all know how I feel about it and I don’t appreciate what feels like a dogpileing and then calling it out and being told I’m wrong.
no i understand that feeling and i think there couldve been a billion other ways to challenge you on why you feel the way you do about the music that YOU like....im just confused like...were you not just giving your opinion on the matter? lol
