Paul’s original vision for the album. It’s a stripped down version of Let It Be with the correct track order and Don’t Let Me Down included. Ironically, reverb is added to across the universe, which defeats the whole purpose of the remaster.

so what is the “definitive” version then?

The best version is the 2021 remix but make sure to include Don’t Let Me Down. It’s the best of both worlds.

finally reached the end.. i enjoyed these 2 listens of let it be, it’s not nearly as bad as some people have made it out 2 be.. reading the backlash 4 the album was actually hilarious, i couldn’t imagine being them back in the day, f***ing sneeze wrong & fans would be critiquing it, “john sneezed better back in ‘64” head ass fans. i can’t stand that s***, but anyways, this album works 4 me. like yeah it’s nowhere near their best but it’s an enjoyable listen 4 the most part. there’s a couple duds (1 after 909 & 4 u blue really didn’t do it 4 me) & some very very good songs. let’s get 2 my favs

across the universe - perhaps this might be the beatles best written song, it’s just pure poetry all around. & those melodies john did the damn thing.. nothings gonna change my world u damn right brother 9.5/10

let it be - just amazing. paul is shining as bright as ever, i love everything about this song. his vocal performance sometimes u just gotta let it be mayne, i feel that a lot. 9/10

the long & winding road - just wowowowow.. so emotional absolutely gorgeous ballad, those strings just unbelievable.. & his vocal performance is just as good as ever 8/10

honorable mention

get back - what a funky ass tune.. catchy as all hell.. GET BACK GET BACK JOJO 7.5/10

least fav song

4 u blues - something about this just doesn’t quite work 4 me.. at 1st i thought maybe my least fav would be dig a pony but it’s actually way better than this, i have no idea what george thought he was doing with this but he fell short, i respect his ambition 2 make a “happy blues song” but it just doesn’t work.. & whatever they’re plucking on the song is so ducking obnoxious, it sounds so out of damn place.. i bet there’s a better take of this song but the final product isn’t it..
