Look at my comments. I'm sure I said that was passable too.

this why i just get so exhausted talking about genres, cuz a song can genuinely be like 5 different genres in 1, it’s really just pointless at the end of the day lol
There's so many examples of users pulling out "guaranteed W's" that got swept with ease.
Me with Regulate
Saveme with Poison
Wesley with Get Em High
The list goes on and on.
Get Em High was supposed to be a guaranteed win the way that remote line gets roasted?
yes I can play you the keyboards if you'd like
do it
this has guitar solos in it clearly is a rock song
every breath you take is:
-centered around guitar part
-performed by guitar, bass, drums combo (with additional keyboards) typical of a rock song
-rock style drumming with backbeat, 4/4
still pop too. but i think if you compare it to other pop songs of the time period that are almost entirely lacking in rock, like Michael Jackson or something, without knowing anything about the Police you could still tell its a song by a poppy rock band
rock always been a nebulous genre definition and i think the idea of a "rock band" having more concrete definition than a "rock song" has something to do with it tbh

Common was the worst part of Get Em High.
