Definitely not as familiar as I am with Madonna, Janet or Mariah. She's not a blindspot for me but I'm only familiar with her 3 albums. I don't know any unreleased, rare or posthumous work.

I won’t be using any rare or unreleased stuff from her. I suggest giving the I Care 4 U compilation album a full spin and you’ll probably better understand why I’m confident she can hold her own against Mariah.

I think I’m more confident with Aaliyah than he is with Miguel lol, I love Miguel but I’m not sure if he can keep up with PND for 20 rounds KD one of my favorite albums of the 10’s though.

I like your confidence. This will be enlightening for sure. Seems more like fun than a battle and these are the best VZ matches, in my opinion. We're essentially showcasing career highlights and putting others onto these artists. This also makes me feel more comfortable playing remixes and b-sides for Mimi. I hope I'm not underestimating Aaliyah but I'm not out for blood or anything.

I think this will be wholesome af lol. I would suggest using Mariah’s more R&B centric music though and not necessarily her ballads just to make the vibes match.

But use whatever you think would be best, just want it to be cohesive as far as the music goes ya know?

I'm not using the corny ass department store music she was doing early in her career. I'm going to only play music from the real Mariah, not Tommy Motolla's Mariah. I think the last time we did a VZ we tried to make it more cohesive but this time it'll be perfected and we can match the energy of the songs.

I know. I'm steering clear of the watered down Pop material and sticking to Mariah's strengths. You're real af for posting Remy Shand! I discovered him a few years ago through a random livestream. Somebody requested Take a Message and I had to check out his work. I was disappointed that he only dropped one album and dipped. One of the smoothest white boys to ever do Soul. I also wonder where he's at now and what he's up to.

Take A Message inspired me and everything I ended up doing lol, he was more influential than I think he even knows.

I think the story about him was he either got divorced or lost his spouse similar to Corinne Bailey Rae or something tragic like that. It’s crazy how differently people process grief.
