Whether or not there is a difference in quality is something you can take 30 seconds to Google and recently updated pages will tell you that Tidal has higher quality audio
alright
this explains 3d reality audio perfectly

if you tell me there's no difference you're lying

is this all just gimmicks
I hear absolutely no difference between tidal and apple tbh
I also dont have amazing headphones

idk if you can do this with other streaming services but the ability to edit tracks with a start time and end time like i can do with apple music is crucial for me. i just took the intro off Passionfruit because it always bothered me and stopped me from putting it on at parties
alright
Idk why that turned into such a difficult thing but I am sorry if you felt insulted for some reason

i was just curious what everyone else thought i didnt care to do a whole bunch of research right now
Not sure what point I missed
The files are objectively higher quality, whether you can or can not hear is up to you or even if the placebo effect is worth it or not is up to you, there's nothing objective anyone can tell you that can make the choice a good or a bad one for you
I am of the belief that if my friend is enjoying something I'm not going to rain on their parade regardless of if I think they are wrong, which was my point
i think part of it is also just not wanting a friend to get ripped off paying for something that might be deceiving, thats my perspective at least
also btw i didnt block you, sorry earlier i was in a bad mood and i think i interpreted something from you+earlier things you said in the past as more mean spirited than you actually meant. typing over internet just makes tone hard sometimes
i'm not an audiophile nor any other type of phile
i have multipoint pairing on my headphones
i connected them to both phones, played apple nusic and then tidal
so why does tidal sound better? i can't answer that but it does to me lol
wait are you using the spatial stuff when you are comparing rn? i was thinking nort was just talking about the lossless aspect but there might be 2 different comparisons going on itt

If I felt as though an extra 10 dollars a month was a big deal for someone I would perhaps consider this
But I have no idea because I'm not that nosey and it's none of my business
I would assume that if they had bought it in the first place an extra 10 dollars a month for something they are genuinely enjoying is probably worth it for them in most cases and wouldn't hurt

this is what i have been saying this entire time..
although i have multipoint pairing on my headphones so i connected both phones and did a test.. tidal sounded better to me
do i think everyone should switch to tidal? no. but i absolutely noticed a difference, it wasn't a placebo.. it was apparent
now this could come down to the particular headphones i was using.. or it could be the streaming service
i am not qualified to speak on the technical differences, i just know what i felt and heard
but i LOVE this 3d reality audio feature and tidal is the service that has it.. dunno what else to say lol
and this is ultimately what it comes down to it seems like
i was so disappointed when i got 'amazing' headphones and then realized i still couldnt tell lossless difference. initially felt like i wasted my money lowkey but now i do think the headphones were worth it overall
some people on steve hoffman forum go so insane with this s***. like posting graphs to compare 20 different masterings of abbey road

yeah that's when i just stop caring lol, it's never that deep
this seems to be a pretty debated topic, and there's no consensus on this so that has to mean something right
is this song as beloved as it should be? i feel like this song only got released as a bonus on a DVD and isnt currently on streaming but it is up there with the best 50/Dre songs.

am i wrong for thinking the sony 3d reality audio thing and the apple spatial audio is a similar/same feature and just 2 different brands doing it? maybe the video you linked explains it but i cant watch rn. i havent tried either
cant speak for nort but i was reading his comments thinking about just the placebo for lossless only. i dont think anyone would say the spatial audio things are placebo cuz it objectively changes something, i guess the debate is just whether its actually useful/cool/better or a gimmick
it's over i'm about to watch the whole thing, pray for me
@ryder this seems to be kind of unrelated to everything we've been talking about, at least you anyway but this is extremely interesting

About the other thing my initial post was a joking way of pointing out you were being a little bit of a sourpuss
When you responded to that harshly i decided to be rude in return
Its okay though and I am sorry for being rude 2 u

nah, i think they're pretty similar in concept, i'm trying to understand what the differences even are.. i have never used this technology before this is a brand new world for me lol
