I think it was just mostly a very like exaggerated and dramatic surreal body horror expression of like the mundane life of being an unhappy and accidental basic parent

But it really felt dull to me even with all the crazy visual things because it kept the spirit of what it was trying to express with it

At least thats what I got out of it

Just wasn't an enjoyable watch

I have not seen blue velvet

It being an unenjoyable watch is my take away. There’s definitely layers of stuff going straight over my head but I don’t really care to go back and get it. Would be fine reading the themes on Wikipedia

Ending was unsettling but again I didn’t get it
