Feel like I can put the blame on the individual people in this case
I mean that’s just a factor of distribution, the average age of marriage was 20 at that time. And the further back you go in history the younger it gets. It wasn’t like 20% of society were considered sexual deviants by everyone else or specifically seeked out to marry a teenager. It was just commonly accepted practice.

He was robbed of his childhood by being the frontman of the Jackson 5 and developed such deep trauma from it that he struggled with it his entire life. Having to grow up too quickly. I believe he saw kids as equals, unlike most adults who look down on children and treat them as seen not heard. Some people cannot fathom that as perverse beings and assume that someone spending time with children MUST be in a sexual context. I think it was unwise of him to be so open and vulnerable after the first allegations, but from his perspective he truly could not see what other people saw.

No, im just saying that everything is always relative to what the rest of society accepts. I mean there are still cultures out there practicing things we find insane but for them are “normal”.
