Yeah you need a bike shop, they will fix all of that in like 3 minutes

I'd start at level 3

And the numbers from 1-7 (if the bike has that)

Start at 1

And work ur way up as u pedal until u feel comfortable

It should be some resistance but not so much where ur struggling

you start on gear 1 to start peddling, then you increase the gears as you peddle faster but you need to be peddling to change the gears in the first place

if that makes sense

Turning it to one was really hard it is like super tight

If you were already on a higher gear and wern't peddling it'll do that

You'd only ever increase it to 7 if you were already peddling, mostly on a flat surface, and going reasonably fast

As you slow down you want to drop it to a lower gear cause setting off in 7 will make it feel like the bike is wobbly

Its probably fine if you were in gear 7 the entire time it will feel bad

Mine is pretty much like that

It has a twisty thingy that goes 1-7 on the right

And a twisty thing that goes 1-3 on the left
