To say that the person doing the most was still not doing nearly enough and still keeping an absurd amount for himself and then to apply that standard to the rest makes it a more powerful example than any obvious one he could have picked

So I really just like fundamentally disagree with you. The example worked fine and made his point clearly

apparently not enough considering he died half a billion dollars in debt

    Mmm Hmm

    If I make 100mil

U shouldn't expect me to donate 90 mil

Why make money in the first place if you have to give all away? Why would I work more once I reach 10 million knowing I can’t keep anything else? All that would happen is 10 million would be the new “ultra rich” and everything else would adjust, prices would drop but so would minimum wage and salaries, etc. Everything would just re-balance around a new cap. Money doesn’t have any inherent value, it’s all dependent on all the other factors.

Well I'm not sure if you know but the timeline makes it so Tupac didn't say that when he died

I never denied that part of the argument oh my god i even f***ing echoed the same point in a standalone post

what im saying is he chose the poorest example possible

Pac was not criticizing the person Michael Jackson/The Jacksons he’s criticizing the system that made it possible for him to be that wealthy in comparison to that many homeless/poor people. Easy point and he’s right MJ stans took that personal

    It was an example!

I'm insta retiring once I hit a certain sustainable amount

And just working part time from there

    I don't need 1 billion dollars

Im just commenting in general. Forcing billionaires to give up their money is an extremely short term solution for any problem lol

Yes and oh my god I agree my only point is that he chose the poorest example of a celebrity who makes a ton of money and does nothing good with it

the system is f***ed i agree i am not ever gonna argue that

Being in debt is not the same as having negative money in the day to day reality for very rich people anyway

This argument isn't doing what you think it is

he’s breaking charity donations while being 200 million dollars in debt. 2Pac picked a horrible example.
