WESLEYS THEORYI don’t feel bad at all. He literally had all the tools to make a great debut album and he bullshitted his whole album in 4 months and dropped that dookie with no follow up since.
Bonehead move after bonehead move. Might be the biggest music fumble in history. Even Eminem knew he f***ed up and dropped something to make up for it.
He got money and rested on his laurels/ became a family man I guess. He a goober tho just for the way he was tweeting at people when the reception was so bad
I like like 2-4 songs off that album tho
Also he alienated ppl with chance 3 just bc a lot of folk didn’t like that gospel sound me included

Someone needed to smack some common sense into him. He needed to focus harder on his career and drop atleast 1-2 more successful projects before resting on his laurels.
2018 was the perfect time for him to drop his album. He would’ve spent 2019 touring and promoting it and working on a 2nd album during COVID to release in 2021.
Literally the most obvious path for him to take.
