rviI really like the (attempted) themes on Smile with the lyrics and whole americana thing
its hard to imagine a finished version even being able to capture it all. a finished masterpiece album combining the themes of Americana, health, humor, childhood/innocence, history, nature and spirituality into a ~45 minute pop experience

Problem was back then, nobody took 2 years to drop an album. You dropped once a year at the minimum, most dropped 2 a year.

yeah he tripped in the studio and then thought it was an interesting noise so he got the studio to mic up the piano and then recorded himself falling into it
