I think part of the reason why SOS did so well aside from it being 23 tracks is that there was massive hype behind her follow up with it being 5 years after CTRL. She doesn’t have that same push this time and there’s less tracks. She and TDE probably could’ve pushed it for promo and really gone all out, but I think they decided they didn’t wanna risk a close race or end up looking like Justin Bieber Yummy vs The Box by Roddy Rich.

Quality wise? No not really. But I don’t think she fumbled at all. She one of the only ones who dropped an album after 5 years and didn’t get smacked with the “mid” allegations.
