listened to Earthling yesterday and it was actually really good
World class Haterz the lot of you
i think so but im not sure how far im going to go with live albums or bootleg stuff yet
might have a change of heart if im really struggling to get through the 80s-90s box set bonus material, random demos, stuff like that.
they always include a bunch of totally useless different edits of songs in these compilations that i dont give a f*** about. does anyone really need Diamond Dogs (Australian Single Edit)?
Nah that makes sense I’m curious to see what you take from it. I love Bowie so if you any cool mixes or b sides you @ me and provider
I was not impressed at all with the Stage Live album but the bits I heard from his Glastonbury set at the turn of the century I enjoyed a good bit
Our next album is Tonight so wish us luck
i heard earthling later in the 90’s is okay tho

i havent heard any live album yet, i wont usually peep live albums from artists like Bowie but im curious whether the much different arrangements of songs of different eras could make some of it worthwhile. not expecting much improvisation which is what id usually care about in live (rock) albums
@YungPapi these were solid, from Young Americans session

second one was one of the songs cut at last minute basically

we were over before, now its even more over
LMFAOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

Stage is a curious one bc he does rework the songs but his vocal performance wasn’t great to me and some of the reworks were meh
Glastonbury seems he had a good band behind him and his voice was on point from the few tracks I heard

You know the Travis mob was just waiting for anything he drops to start that narrative no matter what. And they definitely don’t have broad music horizons

Shilling the Rubes was just an outtake, basically demo. and i think that version in decent quality was only unearthed a few years ago. along with early version of Scream Like a Baby called Lazer (The Gouster) and another one called After Today
these were the other 2 totally finished songs that were left off in favor of Fame and Across the Universe (which were recorded later) at the last minute. not sure why 3 were removed to make room for 2 though, album totally could have been one song longer than it was
