I feel bad for Ty Dolla Sign if anything
He was SO close to having an collab album released but ofc last second Ye had to go and s*** the bed like usual.

Only if he actually reads the contract and doesn’t just take Jay-Z’s word for it like an idiot.
Lupe a genius but that was the biggest mistake of his career.
smh, wonder why Jay didn't try and get Lupe on at Def Jam at the tume, since he was the president and all. Atlantic waa strictly for pop rappers at the time, kinda why F&L has some songs obviously attempting to crossover, but letting Lupe still be himself

Because originally Jay-Z was going to run Atlantic like he did Def Jam and that’s why Lupe signed with them. Because Jay-Z gave him his word he was the next one up and was gonna be one of the biggest ever. So Lupe signed, then Def Jam gave him a better offer money wise then Atlantic and Jay-Z left for Def Jam and left Lupe behind on Atlantic.

Yeah, thats just business, and you can say Lupe did bad business but at the same time, I'm pretty sure he didn't wanna go against Jay and not take his word. Just a "rock in a hard place" situation, 100% belonged on Def Jam, Lupe is a true artist cause its obvious Atlantic was shorting him on his album budgets but he made due and created classics anyway
It kinda is, cause that make people wonder "I wonder what he's not telling"
“the thing your running from is what you need the most”

Jay-Z probably would’ve respected him if he insisted on waiting for Jay to sign a contract with Atlantic himself before committing. Jay is a businessman at the end of the day and would’ve understood it’s not personal. It f***ed with Lupes livelihood.
Lupe just idolized Jay-Z and blindly gave him zero pushback.
the fact that his mind went to this makes me believe their relationship is of a homoerotic nature

You right, Jay would've understood, he wasn't trying to be shady with Lupe, just a misunderstanding/bad business on Lupe part. Imagine how many beats Kanye had for Lupe, that he most likely couldn't have access too

He went through his stages of grief with Ye and now things are back to normal.
Get an abortion lol
