Your source Lori Maddox, has given different accounts of this alleged incident over time indicating she is not being entirely truthful. As an example, in the book she claims to have been 15 when Bowie took her virginity. Which is strange, considering that she claimed to have been with Jimmy Page when she was 14.

If he did it ofc that’s not dope by today’s standards but there are inconsistencies with the source of the claims. Just bc it’s in a book doesn’t mean it’s gospel.

If it is true, I can't admire what he did, but I believe, as obviously many do, that he grew up beyond the person he was in the 70s.
