my armchair psychologist a***ysis of myself is that due to my hyperactive nature, im naturally an annoying person and developed social anxiety shortly after realizing that being my 100% authentic self is rather off-putting

god right??? dude the adults are talking is sooo f***ing good
i interpret is as being about having a kid, and like noticing the patterns in the way your parents raised you and how the narrator is raising their child

i was expecting it first quarter in my head
Nah man I only started recording vocals for it in October.
I scrapped the first version of it in September because it felt inauthentic and corny.

I was depressed from my breakup and mentally suffering and in my grief I tried to play it off like it was nothing and tried to make Opium/Yeat inspired songs.
Only made a few before I decided I didn’t love it and it would’ve been embarrassing as my first album.

especially like the line “cause you said something wrong and thought it was great, now you don’t know how you could ever complain” F***
like EVERYBODY has done something s***ty thinking their heart was in the right place, especially your parents when you’re a kid. so idk it’s just. it resonates a lot. like easing up. letting go of your parent’s mistakes. its nice
It just wasn’t me
few rappers have this level of self awareness so good on you

Not that I would disrespect that type of music or never attempt it again, it just wasn’t the right vibe at the right time. It would’ve definitely come off try hard and corny
