There were more people against Aaliyah being represented than R. Kelly. It was a lose/lose because if you won with Aaliyah it’s death stimulus and if I won with Mariah it’s “bullying”.

it wouldn’t have been bullying, it would have jus been a well deserved win either way.

jus because aaliyah is dead doesn’t mean her music isn’t good, it’s actually amazing bias aside. she was loved while she was alive.

it’s really annoying that i can’t rep my favorite artist of all time on here because she is dead.

the coolest beat the light, that let me know that people will vote 4 their favorite song over an iconic song. why wouldn’t that apply 2 aaliyah as well? it’s all about strategy at the end of the day.

Aaliyah has wonderful music but it’s not much of a victory beating a dead woman with a music icon stacked with hits. It’s not fair either. Every VZ we’ve done has been equal in terms of quality, as well as quantity. You can always rep her but wouldn’t it be best against her peers like Brandy and Monica? Whoever recommended a 3way VZ between them hit the nail on the head.
