I feel like he’s revered for his music more then say Nipsey who was an amazing rapper but is definitely viewed more as a symbol by the average Joe. The thing is though, once you die, you get viewed with a different lens then when you’re alive.
You even see a bit of fetishization for someone like Mac Miller today from the average music listener. I cannot begin to tell you how many people I know in real life that adore Swimming and swear by it. Amazing album, but it’s true.

I used to play on an actual basketball team and i got second grade sprains on both ones because niggas are DIRTY and they pushed me into the air

on 2023 i had an horrible sprain going down slope, like i almost lost vision because of it and 2 months later after i recovered i sprained my other one while playing basketball and i wasnt even running
