TSR was a let down of a follow up but it’s also got some really great songs on it
they waited too long tbh, not sure who told them they could wait almost 6 years between albums and expect anyone to really give it a chance
most of their fanbase outgrew them by the time TSR released and only checked it out in passing as a "hey remember these guys" smh

this is where we have opposite opinions on prince
i vastly prefer it when he trims off the fat off his songs/albums, and you prefer the uncut versions
one of the reasons PR is so amazing to me is because there really isnt a single wasted moment. perfect momentum throughout, the most enjoyable musical rollercoaster ive ever experienced
but i think you prefer it when Prince + folks get jamming, makes sense why youre such a big jazz fan
no the full/uncut version of s***shooter is barely a minute longer, the estate released it and cut out the full intro and outro for some weird reason and pretended it was his original demo, that's the problem

manic monday is so good but the arrangement on the prince demo is garbage, the bangles added a lot of needed energy to it and they were wise to speed up the tempo slightly
