Well one thing is for sure, and I think even Cole fans can agree. Cole works best when he’s not trying get super conceptual. He just never had to nuance to be able to pull it off on albums and when he stopped making concept albums and just focused on just making straightforward rap, his music improved again.

im glad she said that tbh, there will already be so much annoying discourse acting like she said it was a full yeehaw country album where she just had cowboy aesthetics.

we will know who didnt actually listen to the album when people just call it "the beyonce country album", really selling it short imo she's incorporating so many styles

But it's not one's typical honky-tonk album.

Or worse, a bro-country body of work.

Lots of upbeat tunes, tbh.

Imma gonna give it a listen tonight, a fair listen.

"RIIVERDANCE" is one of the most unique tunes I've heard this decade.

And "II HANDS II HEAVEN" is a f***ing career highlight.
