The concept of the movie is good. Would have been a 10/10 short film.

But unfortunately David Lowery repeatedly felt the need to include long bland shots of the characters sitting/standing there doing nothing throughout the entire movie. People justify this by saying it somehow ties into the meaning of the movie but to me it was wholely unnecessary filler.

And for God's sake that Will Oldham speech scene should have been cut altogether

The idea behind the movie is good and there are scenes that are really good

But holy crap David Lowery needed someone there to rein him in when it comes to all the long slowly zooming out shots of characters standing still or doing mundane things

It's buried in so many nothing moments that it turns a great idea into a chore
