I think Adele blew up bc she could sing really really well and the songs were a lil deeper than your average pop song at the beginning obvi she became a machine by like the release of 25

Dua seems boring cause she tends to be pretty quiet about her private life and she just does rich/hot girl stuff (and apparently also a podcast). The music just needs to be more interesting to make up for it.
