Not super Optimistic considering comedy sequels rarely ever live up to their classic predecessor (Looking at your Anchorman 2 and Zoolander 2) but I’m in regardless.

here's my thought, not that it really needs a lot of thought.

its a good movie for a sequel because sandler plays himself in it. it's not like he has to go back into a weird character like lil nicky or even billy madison where he did a little bit of a weird voice thing. happy is standard sandler.

plus golf is a sport that old people play so it's not absurd. theres a lot of funny golf s*** to clown on. i dont remember there being other golf comedies since Happy.

i heard they might satirize the LIV golf thing, which works as well (not that this will make it funny but it's a good premise. LIV offers happy a contract. they have evil owners. etc)

plus shooter coming back works great. that actor still plays up the happy thing on social media here and there so he seems primed for it.

if they get julie bowen omg

those 3 leads (happy shooter julie-bowen) is a home run if they can make the script somewhat not awful
