idk, i feel like anime really limits itself by recycling the same archetypes / tropes over & over. western shows do the same thing but i dont think they do it to the same extent.

The movie is cool but it’s stereotypical in the way you’re saying you don’t like.
The show isn’t like that at all. The whole appeal is that it ends up subverting a bunch of the tropes the longer it goes on.
