Love Joker

Pod at 8 pm est but if no one gives a s***. Cancelled.

I gave it a 2.5 on letterboxd

It's very much so not for me

I could see that

I dont care for such a pathetic seeming version of the joker

I get it but I don't like it

And I feel like it relies on tone to make it seem deeper and like more than it actually is

it does that while still handholding and treating the audience like we are stupid which bothers me (showing us flashbacks of the girl not actually being with him like that was made obvious by the scene and it messes up what could have been a pretty big subtle but interesting reveal)

So really it just ends up as a showcase for Joaquin playing a version of the joker that I don't care for in a movie that like fully relies on you being interested in this joker as a character

He does like play the part well though

I like that it did well because we could get more artsy different movies inspired by comics instead of just big action blockbusters

But yeah

Ur worst take i think
