And I've seen other people say it describes more of like a sound and that most stuff after the 80s and like post grunge can't really be considered classic rock
But I'd say the 25 year thing works and if they wanna be more specific they can like just use subgenres to describe it
Oh, ive been thinking of it a little differently. So, for my job I gotta sort thru news stories right. When im working on music articles, I generally categorize rock music before ‘85 as classic rock.
