Japanese is valuable for certain companies as well ofc, but it depends what sector of work you find yourself in

Claro como tu dices estoy seguro de que si me pusiera en ello podria aprender portugues o italiano con relativa facilidad, es más, hasta cierto punto se entiende bastante más de lo que parece sin saber nada de los otros idiomas y solo español
Y claro, al final lo que me falta es una buena razón para hacerlo, tú por ejemplo con tus raíces de PR pues la verdad que es super guay que te intereses en ello y aprendas español, aparte de que por alli en USA pues le puedes sacar provecho aparte.
Para mi el siguiente idioma más "útil" para aprender seria el aleman, porque hay mucho turista aleman que viene a españa en general, aparte de que te abre puertas a trabajar en alemania
El alemán es una bueno idioma en mi opinión. Es muy rico pero un poco feo a las orejas. Pero con idiomas motivos está muy importante entonces si no quieres realimenté no es (worth) tu inversión (investment?) de tiempo
