I have no narrative. I just have facts. When you make blanket statements that you can’t support with anything but “are you really telling me you don’t see what’s going on?”, it just makes you look like a catastrophizer.

Like I show you billions of dollars of donations by big tech to democratic candidates, I show you multiple meetings on policy discussion between presidents and big tech CEOs, etc. and your entire response is “oh nah but did you see what’s happening now?”

This is exactly what will happen if we do it your way

• you present an argument, filtered of any context contrary to your point, typically necessary context at that
• I give you a counterargument and try to point out what you’re leaving out
• you give me a comparison to something a liberal is guilty of, usually in a context that isn’t comparable
• i argue it, maybe try to point that out
• you then select a point or two to latch onto and ask me to get more specific with you on it
• whole conversation becomes trivialized
• i throw darts at a photo of your most current avi
• you are then prepared for sleepy time by your hospice nurse
