Just some personal anecdote, this is in the category of fine arts, i talked to someone who created one of the biggest art schools in California that costs like a quarter million dollars to get a degree at. And he said in the industry (not rich people at the school most people working dont have degrees) he has never ever seen somebody not make it that tried. Make it being you can fully support yourself off your art. Everyone that doesnt make it just gives up early. He said in 30 years hes never seen somebody try their whole lives and end up not being self sufficient.

Also I mean making it big isnt always being as famous as kanye. Making it big can just mean being famous within your industry, doing something ground breaking etc. And that goal is pretty attainable for anybody with the skills.

Obviously you could idk get agin a car crash or some tragedy, live in a poverty stricken dictatorship country, or be very poor. but that stuff is outliers. If you have enough money to meet your basic needs (even geniuses cant break that cycle usually Malcom galdwell did a long study on it) but then it all comes down to skill.

Yea I‘m not mad at that. I believe in following your passion. You ain’t gonna kill your life off that if you know how to utilise time. In a not ideal scenario, you study or work in something that will only get you good money while perfecting your craft in your freetime til you eventually can profit off your craft and then quit your job. Always gotta think long term in every aspect

On September 6th, 2001, Carl Crack, who had long struggled with psychiatric issues, died at the age of 30 from an overdose of unspecified pills. The media hype surrounding Crack's death is disputed by ATR. According to a friend, a few weeks before his death, he had spoken about a doctor's report which said his psychosis attacks would worsen with age. Crack said he would rather kill himself than become a "zombie" and not be in control of his life. Witnesses said Crack had tried to reach out to his friends because he felt the psychosis starting again. When his body was found by police with large quantities of medication in his stomach, this suggested suicide.
