FOMOutI think a lot of it in general is people here are unsuccessful musicians and theyre jealous.
Not everybody that dislikes something is like that (i know that’s what people going to say I said) but it’s a big factor in why that happens.
Then throw in people who like being contrarians for attention and a small h group of people who genuinely dont like something and u have kttYeah pretty accurate imo. Also this is a very niche forum. In the realest of senses everyone here is a f***ing Hipster and tends to dislike anything acclaimed or popular just bc it’s those things lmao

I‘m not sure if you fw Brent Faiyaz. He‘s insanely successful for an indie artist (did over 100k first week). His manager is really great and the mastermind behind his success imo, I ordered his book. Which is basically a playbook on how to approach music business independently and s***. He was talking about long years of college and painful jobs before he established himself. There‘s nothing lame about doing that, some mfs wanna drop everything and put it on all basket and get f***ed up very quick lol.

Those types of first hand accounts are like the bible and will show you whats up thats a great thing to read. No different than if you talked to him in person and asked him questions.And quite the opposite its far more inspiring than people who just get lucky at 18 and pop off. Also most of those people lose their spark anyway and dont make a long career out of it and are often judged at a fraction of their potential.
Being an artist takes money and education and time, jeopardizing that to try to pull some quick s*** is the dumbest of all time.
