InvincibleI think you’re equating him to being a singles artist because he had so many successful singles from his respective albums. You’d almost see them as taking a life of their own outside of their albums.
But he definitely spent a lot of time sequencing his albums and being meticulous about it.
Truth be told it’s irritating he was so meticulous because he should’ve dropped atleast a couple more when he was alive.

Yes you have to imo, be as technically skilled as the person youre criticizing for me to take you seriously. And even then its still subjective.
People that build large careers off just tearing down real artists and they just grift off it and have zero talent themselves I dislike very much. Like magazine reviewers, Fantano, etc.

Like my mentor gives me critiques every week and has for almost 10 year. But bro is very old and famous. He’s far more techincally skilled than me so i take what he says seriously.
And he doesn’t critique my ART, not my self expression, my message, my subject matter. That’s all me.
It’s stuff like oh you wanted this anatomy to be right and it’s wrong. We are practising how to put down less paint and you put too much. We are learning horse anatomy this week so if I miss muscles that’s like objective stuff. That type of feedback is very different and very helpful. Really its needed to succeed.
