What kinda donut?

I'm working on my Blonde on Blonde remaster and drinking an electrolyte drink because I had gone too heavy on the booze recently

I haven't released the Thriller one yet, I had planned to drop it a couple months ago but decided not to.

I think i'll drop Thriller after Blonde because Blonde is the bigger sonic improvement and so I'd like it to be the first showcasing

Listening to Bob Dylan's Blonde on Blonde original stereo mixes as I tinker with them. I was drinking chamomile today tooo

So there is the original stereo mix and the revised stereo mix which was released shortly after and became the mix most reissues came to use. Throughout the years, the mix did change. Both mixes have pros and cons, some tracks sound better on one than the other.

The largest shortcoming of the early mixes is the mastering, I've decided to remaster them and they're now comparable to (and imo better than) the famous MoFi release which, although the masterings good, they did some terrible mixing choices like massaging Bob's voice to the point where it's flat and lost all natural timbre. Massaging is where you master through compression. They also added more reverb to things

For reference, I've been looking at all the original mono mixes (US & Canadian mixes) as well as the stereo mixes which I think are mastered nicely, like Tim Geelan's mix from the 98 simply vinyl release
