rvisome of my racist relatives were texting my mom outraged calling it the worst halftime ever. even said it called the performance itself racist just because they cant stand the sight of a bunch of black people on their screen
You gotta tune those people out because they were never going to like it to begin with. Just a bunch of noise. Type of crowd who says “Rap is (c)rap”
Show was about as safe as you could get with a rap show on TV.

My only real complaint was the setlist but it’s whatever. I just got bias against humble.
agree on setlist. i like the songs but that intro, man at the garden, peekaboo, maybe tv off have no place at a superbowl halftime show of an artist with some generational iconic hits being skipped over
i understand it being heavy on his recent album but its still a super bowl performance
i thought it was alright

There was no winning to a certain extent imo
aside from what songs he played, my room-for-improvement comment is that the song transitions were not great. I liked the Samuel L parts but when kendrick started talking to his TPAB female vocalists it definitely hurt the momentum IMO. and teasing NLU before playing it really took the wind out of the NLU drop. the way he led into NLU prevented there from being any WOW moment when the beat dropped
