College dropout is an album built on skips

if ye dropped during the JIK era or like early 2020 it would've been very liked/cult classic

it just dropped after a 2.5 year wait and got tainted in the middle of MAGA era kanye which clouded judgement

See the whole issue to your argument is you ASSUMING that I hate Drake as the foundation of it all. I do not. I’ve praised him plenty of times. In fact, I was just in here this morning talking about his older music and how much I enjoyed it. @bMass28 can attest to this. I don’t hate Drake overall and never have.

Ofc I liked GNX, it was fire to me. It was the bangers and slaps I’ve wanted from him forever. But me being a fan of that album doesn’t play a factor in my enjoyment of Drake. I can listen to Drake without Kenny factoring in. In fact, that would be preferable. I would prefer to be able to criticize the album for the inferior quality and not have it be automatically associated with another fandom. That’s insulting to me as a listener.

The last 2 Drake albums I liked was HNVM and Her Loss. I mentioned 2 because I’m not gonna let anyone tell me about how ofc I would like Her Loss because that’s the 2nd Drake haters favorite album after IYRTITL.
