My main issue is his decline in songwriting skills

Dude used to write phenomenal songs back in the day. Really well structured songs that stuck with you and now he just doesn’t seem to care at all about that. A lot of the new album is him droning for 2 minutes and then an awkward beat switch.

I also think his singing has gotten progressively worse as well. He used to be a pretty good singer back during the Take Care days even if he still used autotune (which isn’t a negative, everyone uses it), but now he barely tries when he sings for the most part. It sounds so cold and robotic.

The difference in his older auto tune is him using it on his actually good singing at the time (he used to actually have a vocal coach and take care of his voice I doubt he does the later anymore) now it’s a complete crutch

Even the Nokia song. I think it’s a fun beat with fun energy wasted on his monotone delivery he just sounds life and aura less lately

Like Travis sounding better on that song is insane

Yeah you can definitely tell the difference.

Up until More Life, he didn’t really use a lot of autotune with his singing.

But Scorpion came and it was a completely different story.

There’s a few moments here and there where you’ll get some really good singing from him, like Bahama Promises from FATD or his feature with Bryson Tiller, but it’s definitely weakened over the years.

I actually think his weakest intro is Sherane from GKMC

My favorite is Wesley’s Theory from TPAB followed VERY closely by United In Grief from Mr. Morale
