Democrats gotta stop running on progressive s*** and focus on regular people. They can work their way back to progressive ideology after the next election, but people are not having it right now. And their failure to understand this is only hurting certain populations like the trans population. They aren’t reading the room at all.

They genuinely learned nothing and will double down to the middle
They had a meeting with their grassroots organizations and got made that they asked them to do their job
I see two paths forward for them
1. people end up regretting trumps presidency enough that voters swing back towards their direction in hopes of “normalcy” or a return to the now attractive “status quo” we’re used to
2. they actually learned something and run a populist with ideas to actually change things

I think they aren’t running on the right progressive stuff rather than progression being the issue itself. They run on cultural s*** rather than material progression- lip service basically while they actually try to pander to middle and right wing voters

I think what they continue to miss from Trump’s consistently big performances is that people are tired of milquetoast middle of the road nothing politics . Republicans are being radical as f*** and winning for it.
Now does Conservatism get a pass for being radical as s*** bc conservatism is inherently looked at as safe and good? Yes. “Status quo” politics. Dems being p**** asf to be bold and make it loud that their policy’s are for the people (even if they lie like the republicans do) is why they keep getting trounced
That and people’s short term memory when it comes to elections
