People in the life section who’ve never done anything artistic in their lives telling someone not to be a full time artist because it’s impossible to succeed at.

I find it a bit upsetting to read (as much as something on the internet can be lmao) because its like this is a real career, with a lot of opportunities that anybody with their basic needs met can succeed at.
And I was told my so so so many people it wouldnt work for me and I was working on big films in my undergrad. People just love to discourage others from pursuing their dreams. People are very uninformed about the opportunities for this career in film.

Tbf i worked a lot harder at it than most people would, it took me the better part of a decade practising to get to the skill level and i spent thousands on master classes, travelling and school. And I get most people wont be committed like that, but it’s still possible.

Like bro probably shouldn't do a masters with no art experience, but he wouldnt get accepted anyway.

Yes only one today at lunch for an hour and a half. I have a midterm later this week though and a short essay due on the weekend.
I might have a quiz in this class on a book i already read last semester, but im going to listen to the audiobook this morning on fast forward just to make sure i remember everything. It’ll be on the final eventually and i like re reading stuff before tests anyway.

Im hoping to get a large portion of my studying and the say all finished today so im not stressed the weekend. Next week a midterm break :)
