I think the process is also worthwhile and that's something we don't think about as much now

Imagine a world where a masterpiece like MBDTF for example was just churned out instantly with the press of a button. Even though the literal end product is the same, it still feels like an important part of it is lost. I don't think music only exists as audio wallpaper

I think if AI achieved the singularity and was auto-generating, I would agree with you. But there is still a human using AI as a paintbrush. It may not require the same technical skills, but because of that I think it opens up the opportunity for artistic expression to a much wider population.

Yeah i agree. There are also a lot of good things for sure

I think a big part is it's just different. You could have a heavily AI assisted work of art that was painstakingly created with tons of input and personal touches from the artist. But they're just working in a different medium with an entirely different skillset. I wouldn't have any problems if it wasn't for the aspect where that new skillset could crowd out the old one in many ways

I think there are some parallels to draw with the computerization of music. I think computers in music have been amazing. But there is still significant aspects to lament, for example the decline of actual musical instruments being used

I get it but that’s the thing, it’s not really churned out at a push of a button even with AI. It’s still a process to get a desired end result, and especially to know what desired end result you want.

It’s not like any person using AI could make MBDTF
