not power metal but power metal is basically taking this and pushing it further in the direction of cheesiness, this singing style, speed, positivity, european vibes
Iron Maiden prob the most important band to the power metal genre.
but yeah its just pure heavy metal as pure 'trad heavy metal' as you can get. thrash also came in huge part from this style, but the other direction
