I think there's a such thing as being too goal oriented

Like if you lived your entire life trying to do something that you enjoyed, even in the meanwhile you had to deal with some things that you didn't enjoy

That's not really wasting your life

Even if you never make it as a successful musician you still dedicated your life to doing something that made you happy and that you were passionate about

I don't think defining your journey strictly based on the end results is a way to live

Yeah see your workplace is drastically different than mine was

First day I was there my coworker went next door and stole a shopping cart from the store, spent a couple hours riding it around in the parking lot

Fell and cut her hand open

The boss found out about it and we all shared a good laugh

sizz, please don't ever stop making music (as long as you're physically able to do so, obviously).

Having a hobby and having something in life one's genuinely passionate about—I feel—is an essential form of escapism we all desperately need, and under no circumstances is it wasting one's life—in my opinion at least.

At the same time, if producing music ever feels forced to you, I reckon you could take but a brief break from doing so.

Also, you probably don't need to hear this, but I've genuinely loved listening to what you've shared here ITT; I believe your music is great, frankly.

Do I think YouTube is assholish for putting this behind a pay wall? Yes. But I also never wanna watch another ad in my life if I can help it

Pessimistic nihilism "why would I even do that it doesn't matter we all end up in the dirt it all means nothing" is a thought trap for justifying being miserable

You can accept that nothing has objective value and it can be freeing because then you realize you can really do whatever you want to do and there's no way to do it wrong and that you can literally just live to do what makes you feel the best
